Atlantic Sportswear wins Masters II Championship

Lake Placid, NY--Atantic Sportswaer wins its first ever title at the Lake Placid Summit Classic 6-5 over 2009 camp Checkmate in a nail-biter.  Team Long Island took third place in a 4-3 overtime victory against nemesis Brown State.  It was a tough tournament for Long Island teams this year with Checkmate, Team LI, and Landsharks all getting sent packing early.  Ironically the only team from Long Island to win it all was perennial doormat Remnants. The Remnants who have been the laughing stock of the men's leagues around Long Island for years captured the Grand Masters II championship with a 10-3 victory over OWU Legends.

  1. Atlantic got lucky!!! They had trouble on offense, if their goalie didn't stand on his head they lose that game by 5! The freakin guy made a point blank kick save in the final minutes that I'm still tryin to figure out...I did get a quickstick past him in early in the game tho :)

  3. Freakin Atlantic won again this time with a weaker goalie! their stud goalie moved to their o45 team which would be ridiculous in most cases bit they still won so I shouldn't . Our game should have been a smoke show but instead of pickin on the goalie we kept waiting on the perfect opportunity instead unleashing shots so of course we lost!
